Yuj ~ Union features interpretive Indian classical dances and music. Themed on an ancient philosophy of ‘union’, the traditional choreography will sequentially describe the identity of three rivers, their confluence, and influence on civilizations. Lyrics are derived from ancient Hindu scriptures, told through mythological stories, formatted to dance drama, and narrated in English to gain comfortable audience understandings. This production premiering in Ottawa, will present artists & dancers, original choreographies & music compositions, live music, and professional staging. In Canada, Jeevan Jyoti’s themed dance musicals will contribute to inclusive knowledge transfer of diverse and uncommon arts in the mainstream.

I am delighted and Honoured to be the chair and artistic director of Not-For-Profit organization Jeevan Jyoit Performing Arts - JJPA
Equally honoured and delighted to stage third soulful production Yuj~Union, it is journey of more than 8 months to create the concept and script that is so dear to me which is conceptualized through dance and music.
Music composed by Vidushi Sudha Raghuraman (will be arriving from India for live orchestra), esteemed 15 dancers from Montreal-Toronto-Ottawa along with talented 4 accompanying musicians.
